Sons of Anarchy Casting News: Annabeth Gish Picks Up Her Silver Star; There's a New Sherriff on `Sons of Anarchy,' And It's Not Marilyn Manson

Sons of Anarchy Casting News: Annabeth Gish joined the cast of the FX cult hit "Sons of Anarchy." The news comes on the heels of word that goth rocker Marilyn Manson will be taking off the black lipstick to play a white supremist. It was earlier revealed that Drea De Matteo, Adriana from "The Sopranos" will also be moving up in the ranks of Sons of Anarchy.


FX announced that Annabeth Gish, who also stars on the cable network's show "The Bridge," will have a recurring role on Sons of Anarchy as Althea Jarry. Gish will play the new sheriff. She's in charge of investigating the murders of the former sheriff Eli Roosevelt, as well as Tara Knowles (Maggie Siff). 


Gish isn't leaving "The Bridge," she will play on both FX shows at The Bridge moves into its the second season this summer. Gish previously had lead roles on the classic Fox science fiction series "The X-Files," with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson and the Showtime series "Brotherhood."


You won't see Gish on the season 7 premiere. That episode will features the debut of Marilyn Manson as Ron Tully, a white supremacist prison big shot who is used by Jax as he enlarges his influence. A former white supremis on Sons of Anarchy was the musician Henry Rollins. He had a recurring role back in season 2. Manson also isn't the first horror inspired casting choice, when Sons of Anarchy was young, it featured Stephen King ing a cameo.


Manson played himself in two episodes of Showtime's "Californication." He also had a small cameo on "Eastbound and Down" on HBO.


Annabeth Gish was featured in the films "Mystic Pizza" and "SLC Punk" before moving to television. After starring "The X-Files" she also ha

d a major role in "Pretty Little Liars." She is probably best known for playing Eileen Caffee on Showtime's Brotherhood. Gish appeared on the shows "Parenthood" and "Betrayal." She will soon be appearing in the film Grass Stains, which will be the first movie directed by Kyle Wilamowski. Gish was also cast in "Oculus" director Mike Flanagan's next thriller "Somnia."


"Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter also recetnly confirmed that Tyne Patterson, Peter Weller and 'Deadwood' star Kim Dickens will be returning to the show.Drea de Matteo, David Labrava and Niko Nicatera are now series regulars.


'Sons of Anarchy' season 7 will premiere on FX this fall.
