HTC One M8 Gold Edition Now Available For Only $99 In Select Carriers In The US For A Limited Time

The HTC One M8 is already a premium level and high-end smartphone, but people are still looking for options which would make their devices stand out more. If you are one of them, then you better rejoice as the flagship's Amber Gold version can be yours for only $99.

Of course that does not mean you will only pay $99 for the entire golden HTC One M8. The device will be available on contract for two years under US carriers AT&T, Sprint and Verizon.

The offer began at 12mn Central Standard Time and would last for only 24 hours.

According to the report by GSM Arena, interested buyers do not need to key in any promo number, as long as they sign up in time and on HTC's US website.

Since the HTC One M8 was launched in March this year, a lot of people have already fell in-love with its premium metallic build, HTC BoomSound speakers, and the elegant-looking color options which include Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver, and Amber Gold. The device packs a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution which makes watching videos enjoyable.

There is also a duo of 4MP UltraPixel sensors at the back, and a 5MP front-shooting cam for selfies.

On the inside, the HTC One M8 runs on quad-core CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, a 2GB RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, and a 16GB built in memory with a microSD card slot.

It looks like HTC is doing whatever it takes to squeeze something from its target market in the US. On the other hand, its marketing strategy in Asia has been simple - develop a cheaper version of the flagship and sell it to the emerging market.

Yesterday, the Taiwanese manufacturer officially launched what is known as the One M8 Ace, which packs the same internals and display resolution as the original. However, the phone is covered with durable plastic, instead of metal. There is also a 13MP 'regular' camera at the back to keep the price low.
