Justice League Movie: Dwayne Johnson As Lobo Confirmed! Will He Clash With Superman And The World's Finest Team?

The "Justice League" movie is a definite thing. As of now, there are four heroes checked in: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Cyborg. Is there room for DC's anti-hero Lobo to be played by no less than Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson?

Dwayne Johnson has confirmed that he will play a role in the DC Universe after a meeting with Warner Bros. He left it to speculation as to which character it will be. Of course, the Rock will not shy away from having some fun at social media. He has teased John Stewart (Green Lantern), Black Adam and Aquaman. Ultimately, he confirmed that the role attached to him was Lobo.

There is a big possibility that whoever Johnson will play will first appear in the "Justice League" Movie. A few months ago, he all but confirmed that it was Lobo:

From the press conference for Hercules, courtesy of io9: "Well, here's the thing - so we've been having these ongoing discussions. I won't tell you who it is, but I'll tell you the three qualities we're looking for, okay? This is going to be fun!"

Reporters prodded, and asked directly if it was Green Lantern or Black Adam: "Can't say that, but here we go. Here are three qualities. The first quality we were looking for was that he had to be extremely complex and have a lot going on. What that does for me as an actor and the studio is it gives us space that we can explore; his complexities.

The other quality was that he had to - the character we were looking for had to be well-known but never brought to life. Then what that does again as an actor, it gives me a little bit of space, and we talked about personality. It just gives me a chance to put an imprint into his personality, with the set of tools that I could bring to the table and put a very unique twist on his personality, but still pay homage to who he is.

The third thing - and most important - is he had to be a badass mother**ker, okay, and on a Superman level of power, where he could throw down. In those three qualities, I'm happy we've found that character. Right now, we're out to a lot of writers."

That is Lobo more than anyone, but how will he be introduced? Will he be a villain or a hero? A clash with Superman would be epic and very likely since he is a bounty hunter with no clear sense of morality. Perhaps the ultimate villain would be the one who hired him. But that's another topic.

In the meantime, we are still waiting almost two years until May 6, 2016 when "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" premieres.
