Aaron Lewis of rock band Staind took a stand against the fans who were apparently molesting a young girl who was surfing the crowd.

Lewis was singing "Something To Remind You" when he stopped in mid-verse and called out some fans! Bullett Media had this report:

"On Saturday, more than 50,000 fans turned out for Rockfest 2014 in Kansas City, a concert headlined by KORN, Staind, and numerous other hard rock acts. The vast majority of those in attendance were not molesting pieces of shit. But, as Staind's frontman Aaron Lewis pointed out, stopping midway through a song to scream at the crowd, more than a few were.

'Listen up you f**king assholes, that girl over right there is like 15 fu**ing years old and you pieces of shit are molesting her while she's on the f*cking crowd! Your f**king mothers should be ashamed of themselves, you pieces of s*it.'"

Lewis also threatened the fans in general that if he "sees that again" he will "ask the people around them to beat their ass."

Crowd surfing has already been a part of concert culture going way back to the 60s. The only problem is that the frenzy of the concert may lead to some inappropriate situations. There have been incidents when even the female singers would dive to the crowd and then regret it. Courtney Love, Lady Gaga and even Katy Perry have experienced frisky behavior by their own fans.

The debate ensued on some sites that ran this story. There were some who commented that "the girl had it coming" when she chose to crowd surf.

Aaron Lewis' reaction was actually borne out of his conservative upbringing-something which he is not ashamed of even though it's quite uncommon among rock stars. He argues that going to a concert to listen to music and enjoying with the crowd does not equal consent to molestation.

He was lauded for taking charge of the show. After his tirade he announced: "Now, girls, feel free to crowd-surf safely" before he proceeded with his song.
