Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Oppo Joins The Battle Of The Minis, Announces Find 7 Mini

Midway through the year and we have seen a number of interesting upcoming Android phones for 2014. But we are certainly not done yet.

Several days ago, Chinese manufacturer Oppo has just unveiled the mini version of its N1 smartphone which made waves last year. And like its older and larger sibling, the Oppo N1 mini packs the same swivel 13MP camera that can rotate by up to 210 degrees.

And now it looks like Oppo wants to make 'minis' for all of its existing smartphones, including the flagship Find 7.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the smartphone maker has unveiled the Oppo R6007, or also known as the Find 7 mini. The Android-powered handset is now the third member of the Find 7 family this year.

If you still remember, Oppo launched the Find 7 with superior specs which include a 5.5-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM and a 13MP shooter with a super zoom feature which takes 50MP images. On the same date, the Chinese company also announced the lower-end Find 7a which gets a 5-inch display but 'only' Full HD resolution, 2GB of RAM and a 5MP camera.

Now, the Oppo Find 7 mini will trace the footsteps of its predecessors and target emerging markets and budget-conscious consumers.

In the report, the Find 7 mini packs a 4.7-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a quad-core CPU running at 1.6GHz, a Snapdragon 400 chipset, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory.

Also on board is an 8 megapixel camera at the back, a 2MP shooter in front, a microSD card slot, and a 2,140mAh battery. Unfortunately, the device only runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, though Oppo can still release a KitKat update afterwards.

So do you think this miniature flagship from Oppo can force your hand, and your wallet?
