2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: Nikola Mirotic Is Dirk Nowitzki 2.0! [VIDEO] Should The Bulls Keep Calm And Bring Him To The NBA Instead Of Chasing Melo?

The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions are getting complicated as teams continue to get crafty with their options. The Chicago Bulls have one asset that they have yet to use-should they just bring Nikola Mirotic this season instead of trading for Carmelo Anthony?

Chicago has a lot of options but their fans also have high expectations. It would be a shame if they put all these assets to waste. Mirotic is the best player outside the NBA and could easily be a top 10 pick in this year's draft (something the Bulls don't have).

Mirotic is 6'10" and 23 years old. His game is now developed. He is a marksman even from the three point line but he also has quick and smooth moves under the basket. He is often mentioned as a younger Dirk Nowitzki. To make your own assessment, watch the scouting video below.

He could easily be better than Mirza Teletovic was to the Brooklyn Nets. Considering the price they have to pay to acquire Melo, why not just bring Mirotic stateside?

From NBC Sports:

"The Bulls will begin negotiations for the first time this offseason with Mirotic, who has a buyout this summer. Though Real Madrid made noise about possibly signing Mirotic to an extension beyond the one year remaining on his deal, that could contain an out clause should Mirotic opt for the NBA.

'We have built a relationship with him,' general manager Gar Forman said at last week's NBA draft combine. 'We feel confident he will come over at some point. Whether that's this summer or next, we don't know.'"

In an interview with Spanish newspaper Diario AS, Mirotic implies that he wants to take his game to the next level: "The most important thing for me is the ambition. It is not an economic issue. I will do what my heart says. What is the best for me. The options are Chicago or Real Madrid where I can improve and build a future. I don't know yet but I will make a decision soon. Real Madrid talked with my agent but they did not reach an agreement yet on a new contract" added the forward. "My decision will not be influenced by the victory in Euroleague. This is clear for me. It is something more personal. I wish we can win Euroleague. But I will not put myself in a situation that I will go to the NBA only if I win Euroleague."

Mirotic already won MVP honors in the Spanish ACB league-known as the toughest league outside the NBA. He recently failed to give Real Madrid a Euroleague Championship after they lost to Maccabi Tel Aviv, but as he said, he's not tied to that commitment. And remember, he's just 23 years old-he can still improve.

Is Mirotic worth the hype?
