2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: Kyle Lowry Locked By Toronto! Raptors Not Wasting Time! Fields 'Aggressive' Offer For Star Point Guard By Midnight Of Free Agency Period!

It's time for the teams to show some love to their players! The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions have the Toronto Raptors not wasting any time on Kyle Lowry.

The official start of Free Agency is midnight, July 1. The Raptors are prepared, and at the stroke of midnight, will officially make their offer to their prized point guard, All-Star snub and the best playmaker of the East last year.

The Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, LA Lakers and New York Knicks among others are interested in gaining the services of Lowry who had a breakthrough year with Toronto in the latter part of the season after spending most of the season on the trade rumor mill.

The Raptors were suspected to be on the tanking trail after they traded their star player Rudy Gay, but Lowry made the Toronto offense work and they even went as far as taking the no. 3 slot in the Eastern Conference.

CBS Sports notes one obstacle before the Raptors can call it a lock:  "Toronto likely won't be outbid financially, and Ujiri can offer Lowry the opportunity to continue to be the No. 1 playmaker on an improving playoff team, with a set of teammates he's said he loves being around. The should-have-been All-Star has said that he can see himself coming back, but also has mentioned that he wants to compete for a championship."

While it is apparent that the Miami Heat and Houston Rockets definitely have the upper hand when you talk about winning a championship but the Heat have their hands full in contract negotiations with the Big Three. The Rockets, on the other hand are making a play for Carmelo Anthony or even LeBron James.

It is also doubtful whether Lowry wants to play for the Rockets as they will reportedly retain Kevin McHale as head coach. Lowry had a much-publicized feud with McHale which forced the trade to Toronto.
