‘Black Panther’ Movie Features All-Black Cast? Solo Feature For Wakanda Monarch Could Be Pushed Back To Phase 4 Of Marvel!

The "Black Panther" movie has a lot of potential. Marvel can have a full feature based entirely in Africa (remember, Marvel wants to diversify) and highlight black actors.

The movie is already being discussed and Kevin Feige has already confirmed that it is in the works. However, we may have to be more patient.

Marvel is about to finish Phase 2 but they already have "Guardians of the Galaxy" to kick off the cosmic phase of their cinematic Universe which will be the backdrop of Phase 3.

If Phase 3 is 'cosmic' where does that leave "Black Panther?" Marvel President Kevin Feige himself has confirmed to Blacktree TV during his press junket in London:

"In terms of Black Panther, it's absolutely in development. When you have something as rich as Wakanda and his backstory - and clearly Vibranium's been introduced in the universe already - I don't know when it will be exactly, but we certainly have plans to bring him to life some day."

"Someday" could mean all the way back to Phase 4-after the cosmic phase.

Comic Book Resources discusses the film's potential:

"T'Challa is awesome. The Black Panther's history is filled to the brim with the stuff gripping films are made of: An exotic locale, a capable and badass protagonist, a rich supporting cast and a tether that ties T'Challa to the rest of the Marvel Universe all add up to perfect film fodder for Marvel and Disney. Wakanda would be a welcome expansion to the geography of the Marvel film universe, and vibranium, a precious metal only found in Wakanda, has been mentioned a number of times in other Marvel films. This film practically writes itself, and if Marvel Studios has any sense of the pulse of fandom -- and it really seems to -- it's only a matter of time before the rest of the world learns just how amazing Black Panther is. T'Challa serving as a fellow genius and a foil to Tony Stark in a future 'Avengers' film? Yeah, this needs to happen."

Black Panther was named the richest superhero beating out both Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne (Batman). The movie can be a platform for an all-black cast as there are so many up and coming black actors.
