In more Derrick Rose news, it appears the former MVP is not interested in helping to get former New York Knicks star player Carmelo Anthony. 

In an interview with Yahoo! Sports, Rose said that talking players into playing with the Bulls is not his job, though on the one side, he respect's Anthony's game and would be willing to play with him in case the latter decides to go to the Windy City for the next NBA season.

"I love Melo's game," Rose said. "He's a great player. Takes the game serious. He's consistent. He shoots the ball great. I love his heart."

However, if Chicago wants their priced but injury-prone superstar to at least help out, they may just come out disappointed.

According to Rose, "My thing is if they want to come, they can come," which just means his only responsibility is to play with whoever the team gets for him. 

"I can play with anybody, no matter who it is. I believe I can play with anyone if they step on the court with me." 

During his MVP season in 2011, Rose averaged 7.9 assists mainly because he was hitting his teammates right on the spot for the easy points. But with another prolific scorer in Anthony following him in the wings, expect great things ahead for these two sueprstars in case Melo moves to Chicago. 

However, that was not the case during the NBA free agency before his MVP season in 2011 where Rose voiced his interests in getting back up point man Kirk Hinrich to the Bulls, instead of LeBron James who just the Cleveland Cavaliers then to take his talents to South Beach with the Miami Heat. 

In the report by Yahoo Sports, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau also stated that Rose is increasing the intensity of training in preparation for the NBA 2014-15 season. But as for Rose, he is sure he will be playing at the Bulls' first game. 

"For sure. That's not a concern," Rose said. "I'm on a mission. I'm just trying to get better. I'm taking it day by day. I'm getting the best out of every day."
