Fans of the 'Real Housewives of New York' 2014 might soon say goodbye to several cast members except for one. Reports are circulating that all the housewives will be replaced except for Ramona Singer because of the show's low ratings.

Radar Online reports that Bravo producers are thinking of eliminating Carol Radizwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, Luann De Lesseps, and Sonja Morgan once the 'Real Housewives of New York' season 6 ends.

The network has allegedly started to conduct auditions for housewives who would replace the existing ones.

"Bravo doesn't want to cancel the series because New York is the unofficial capital of the United States. The amount of wealth concentrated into such a small area makes it a major draw," claimed one source to the website.

Throughout the show's six-year run, 'Real Housewives of New York' season 6 is allegedly the one with the lowest rating with its 1.33 million viewers. Apart from Singer, Aviva Drescher might also be retained although she will reportedly have a smaller role.

As for the new housewives, the same source said that they'd be "over-the-top wealthy and very charismatic with multiple estates."

The insider claims that the stars of 'Real Housewives of New York' season 6 are "not connecting with viewers and they need something major happen to them."

This might be the reason why Singer will be retained because of her current marital woes. The distressed wife nearly filed for divorce when she found out that her husband, Mario, cheated on her with a much younger woman.

However, she opted to give her 22-year-old marriage another chance. The show's seventh season might give viewers a chance to see how the couple will rekindle their romance.

Meanwhile, Bravo said that the recasting rumor is "not true." One of its representatives, however, said that decisions about the cast would be made after the end of season 6.
