2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: Marcin Gortat Stays In Washington! John Wall Celebrates! ‘Polish Hammer’ Rides An Assault Vehicle To His Basketball Camp [PHOTO]

The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions are being confirmed, and one of the top centers in the free agent market (there aren't a lot of them this year) has been locked on by his own team. Marcin Gortat will stay the full length with the Washington Wizards.

The full length these days is 5 years, and the Wizards were willing to give him exactly that length. The details of the contract from ESPN:

"Gortat agreed to a five-year deal worth a fully guaranteed $60 million, with neither a player nor a team option entering the final season.

The deal can't officially be signed until July 10 when the league moratorium is lifted."

John Wall, the Wizards top player, is very delighted at the development.

Meanwhile, some critics are thinking that five years might be too long of a contract for 30 year old Gortat. He will be 35 years old at the end of it and may not be as effective.

SB Nation points out:

"30-year-old Gortat is fine for $12 million. 34-year-old Gortat at that price is less certain.

It is hoped that the deal is misreported, or at least not fully guaranteed. This is highly unlikely, of course, but perhaps the deal will be structured so that it declines in value. Something needs to mitigate this price tag. Good centers always cost big money and there is no denying that Gortat (13.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 17.6 PER, .568 true shooting percentage) is that. He's one of my favorites. I Iove Gortat as a player, and he's an extremely good one. But he is going to be one for five years? Four years? Three years, even?"

The Polish Hammer is currently in Poland for his basketball camp. That's where this photo was taken. Well, it's hard to argue with someone who makes a grand entrance like this:
