Launched a couple of weeks ago, the Amazon Fire Phone continues to become one of the most interesting devices in the market today. However, would it stand against the LG G3 as to which device is better?

Display

The Amazon Fire Phone packs a decent 4.7-inch LCD display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution whereas the LG G3 gets a whopping 5.5-inch display with QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. The LG G3 has a clear lead here, but for people who prefer smaller screens, then the Amazon phone can be a good alternative as well. 

Processor

Unfortunately for fans of the Fire Phone, while the phone boasts the best specs of any Amazon device today, it only gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, which is already almost a year old. On the other hand, the LG G3 packs the updated Snapdragon 801 chipset which has four cores running at 2.5GHz as opposed to the Fire Phone's 2.2GHz. 

Camera

For the first time in this comparison, both the LG G3 and the Amazon Fire Phone share the same specs. The 13MP primary camera of the G3 has optical image stabilization, while the Amazon phone gets some of the usual camera effects and tools for image editing. 

Additional Features

This could be the where the Amazon Fire Phone will get the advantage over the LG G3. Some of the phone's promoted features include the phone's front sensors which enable the device to adjust the screen accordingly based on how the user looks at the device. The Amazon handset also has Firefly which can detect more than 33 million products using the phone's camera. 

Price

The LG G3 gets a price tag of around $819 for the 32GB and 3GB model, while the Fire Phone with its decent specs and extra features retail at $650 contract free. The price for the LG flagship is understandable considering its specs and hardware, though that is not the case for the Amazon Fire Phone. With Android limitations, a lower-end chipset, and lower resolution, we would expect the Amazon device to at least cost around $400-450.
