'Foxcatcher' Releases New Trailer Featuring Channing Tatum: '22 Jump Street' Star's Performance Already Generating Oscar Buzz: Steve Carell Undergoes Dramatic Physical Transformation [VIDEO]

Sony Classics has released second trailer for the highly-anticipated drama "Foxcatcher" starring Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo, directed by Brent Miller.

The film received rave reviews at the Cannes Film Festival in May, with Miller receiving the best directing honor from the competition committee.

Some have already started generating Oscar buzz for both Steve Carell's and Channing Tatum's performance. The 22 Jump Street star plays real-life Olympic wrestling champ Mark Schultz, whose gold-medalist brother, Dave, played by Mark Ruffalo, was killed in 1996 by his athletic team's sponsor, John Eleuthère du Pont.

At first it seemed that the most talked about performance of Bennett Miller's "Foxcatcher" would be Steve Carell's prosthetic-nose, and take on murderous multimillionaire John du Pont. Steve Carell is almost unrecognizable as eccentric millionaire du Pont. New advertising for the film is placing Channing Tatum's performance as du Pont's underling, the wrestler Mark Schultz at the forefront. The newest trailer focuses on Tatum's Schultz, highlighting his obsession with winning and his tendency toward self abuse.

The heavy subject matter made for a somber time on the set of "Foxcatcher." "It was not a fun experience at all," Tatum told PEOPLE at a luncheon for the film in May. "It was grueling, and it was painful, but it was worth it."

Tatum also sustained numerous injuries while training for the film with real-life athletes, but the scariest moment might have been when he slammed his head into a mirror, shattering it. Tatum described the experience as the most intense of his career.

"I missed a stud [in the wall] by about two inches, but the cut [on my head] and the blood were real."

"Foxcatcher" opens on Nov. 14.
