Monsta X featured in seventh original soundtrack of MBC drama ‘Shopping King Louis’

Korean idol group Monsta X is featured in the seventh original soundtrack of "Shopping King Louis" with their new song “The Tiger Moth.” Meanwhile the drama is surpassing “Jealousy Incarnate” in viewership ratings.

Monsta X's song 부나비 (Bunabi), which is translated as “Tiger Moth,” will have two versions, according to SE Daily. The first one is a rock version, which will have an intense rough guitar sound. The second one is an acoustic version arranged to become a melodious accompaniment to the drama's mellow mood.

Meanwhile, “Shopping King Louis” has successfully surpassed its two competitors in Wednesday and Thursday drama timeslots this week, as reported by Yonhap News Agency. The MBC drama exceeded SBS drama “Jealousy Incarnate” and KBS drama “On the Way to the Airport.”

“Shopping King Louis” Episode 11, aired on October 27, comfortably sits at 6th position in both TnMS and Nielsen Korea rating, with 11.1% and 10.5%, respectively. “Jealousy Incarnate,” for its part, was ranked 11th with a 10% rating in TnMS and 7th place with 10.2% in Nielsen Korea. “On the Way to the Airport” finally climbed back to the Top 20, as it's ranked 19th in TnMs and 9th in Nielsen Korea.

Monsta X, which featured in the drama’s seventh soundtrack, is the seven-member boy group managed under Starship Entertainment formed in 2015.

“Tiger Moth” is written by Kihyun as it's his first time to sing an OST as the member of Monsta X. The group is also played and starred in the Chinese web drama “Good Night Teacher,” which broadcasted in January this year through Chinese video streaming service IQIYI.
