Mega Hallyu star Rain will end his Asia concert tour titled “The Squall World Tour” in Singapore this year. The tour went around 13 Asian cities since November last year.
Singapore will the 14th city of the concert tour The concert will be held on Dec. 30 at Resorts World Convention Centre in Sentosa, according to report by Strait Times. Tickets will be sold from November 5 at Singapore ticketing service Sistic.
“The Squall World Tour” is the first solo concert from Rain after his departure from Cube Entertainment last year. Rain announced that he would not renew his two-year contract with the agency, which expired in September last year. Subsequently, he created his own company, R.A.I.N., a month later.
Under R.A.I.N., Rain started his tour in November 2015. The tour went around East Asia - in China, South Korea and Japan. Later on, the scheduled tour went around Southeast Asia - to Malaysia and Singapore. Other destinations that have not been determined are Thailand, Australia, and America.
Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-Hoon, is still listed as one of top Hallyu stars, based on the Global K-Star ranking released by Star Seoul. The Global K-Star ranks active K-Pop stars in the world according to domestic popularity and various global data sources, including search engine popularity.
Based on the data gatheted in the third week of October, Rain is ranked 4th in the Top 10 Global Hallyu stars. The complete list of the October’s Global Hallyu stars are:
