According to a report by SBS Pop Asia, BIG BANG was the only K-pop act to be nominated in this year's awards which is dominated by internatinal acts. The daf BAMA is an awards body based in Germany which seeks to honor the best that Eastern and Western music has to offer.
Based on the mechanics posted by BIG BANG Updates, VIP, or BIG BANG's official fandom has the chance to help BIG BANG clinch the win by voting through twitter. Fans must first follow @dafentcom and @BAMA_official on Twitter for votes to count.
Posts made on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter will be counted for BIG BANG but voters need to use the hashtags #BAMA2017DiamondEdition_BIGBANG, #BAMA2017 and # with the country of origin. They may likewise vote using the #DafBAMA 2017 and #DafBAMA2017_BIGBANG.
Meanwhile, the official announcement from daf BAMA simply requires posting on social media using the #DafBama2017_BigBang. The post did not indicate whether there is a limit to voting per day or per platform.
While T.O.P. has already completed his training and is now a police officer serving the Gangnam District, his fellow BIG BANG members are busy working on their own solo materials. BIG BANG leader G-Dragon is working on the finishing touches of his solo album and is set to take on the Seoul World Cup Stadium for a solo concert entitled "Mother's Womb" on June 10.
Daesung, who is known in Japan as D-Lite has released his Japanese mini album D-Day early this month and is set to perform in solo concerts in Japan all throughout April. Taeyang and Seungri are also expected to come out with their own solo albums this year.
