Fans of global fashion icon and K-pop superstar G-Dragon will finally get their chance to dress like him when he auctions off some of his pre-loved clothes for a charity event. Some of G-Dragon's stuff are up for grabs at an auction at the Myeongdong branch of Shinsegae Duty Free.
According to a report by Hello K-pop, four of the outfits that G-Dragon wore for the shoot of his endorsement video for the Duty Free shop is currently being auctioned through the store's website. The outfits went up for auction last April 28 and will close the bids on May 17.
The outfits that G-Dragon wore to the promotional video may be familiar to many as video for Shinsegae Duty Free was viewed a whopping 20 million times on the Chinese website Weibo. The number does not include the views from other platforms. The good news is that all the proceeds for the sale of the BIG BANG leader's clothes will be donated to charity.
G-Dragon, who is considered a global fashion trendsetter is one of the most influential celebrities not just in Korea but all around the world. He recently led the global campaign for Nike's Vampormax line entitled "Kiss My Airs" for World Air Max Day. The Vapormax line sold out in Korea as soon as it became available online.
G-Dragon has also collaborated with Samsung's fashion line for their #my8seconds summer line where he recently visited Thailand to promote the limited edition GD Pick merchandise. These are aside from G-Dragon's own fashion and art line peaceminusone, which has branches open in Europe's fashion districts aside from Korea.
The BIG BANG leader's popularity also caused his upcoming solo concert Act III:MOTTE at the Seoul World Cup Arena to sell out in less than eight minutes. G-Dragon is set to take over the world in a 19-city tour from June to September, HypeBeast reported.
