2PM Breaks Own First-Week Sales Record with New Album 'MUST'

2PM has reached a new height in terms of first-week sales on Hanteo Chart with "MUST," their first album in almost five years.

On June 28, the legendary boy group made their long-awaited comeback with their seventh studio album, "MUST," their first release as a group since their 2016 album "Gentlemen's Game."

2PM Records New Highest First-Week Sales with "MUST"

On July 5, Hanteo Chart announced that the six-member boy group attained a new record of highest first-week sales with their new album.

According to Hanteo Chart, 2PM's "MUST" sold a total of 79,446 copies in its first seven days, starting from June 28 to July 4.

This means the boy group beat the first-week sales attained by their last release, "Gentlemen's Game," which sold 21,477 copies.

What's more impressive is that "MUST" broke 2PM's all-time highest first-week sales record set by "Go Crazy."

In just three days, 2PM's new album "MUST" sold 54,454 total copies on the Hanteo Chart. It is nearly 5,000 copies more than "Go Crazy," which reached 49,631 copies.

2PM's "MUST" is now their second best-selling album to date. The album surpassed "Hands Up" which has already sold 77,312 copies. "MUST" now follows "GROWN" with 80,697 copies sold, so far.

In addition to this, 2PM's new album "MUST" now holds the third-highest first-week sales record among the 2021 albums from JYP Entertainment.

2PM's studio album surpassed DAY6's "The Book of Us: Negentropy," which sold 73,668 copies.

After it was released on June 28, 2PM's "MUST" immediately debuted and rose to the top spots on the iTunes charts around the world.

"MUST" reached No. 1 in six countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Bulgaria, Macau, and Sri Lanka, It also charted inside the Top 10 in six more countries and Top 50 in seven countries.

2PM's new album also debuted at No. 29 on the US iTunes Album chart and No. 8 on the European iTunes Album chart.

2PM's "MUST" even landed inside the Top 5 of the worldwide iTunes Album Chart. It came in third place on June 29. The album climbed down to No. 34 on the worldwide chart on July 5.

Over on the iTunes Top 100 K-pop Albums, "MUST" sits at No. 3, the second-highest rank for a K-pop boy group on July 5, following TXT with "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE."

Apart from the album, the title track, "Make It," is also performing well on the music charts.

2PM's "Make It" debuted at No. 43 on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart and landed on iTunes Song charts in 15 countries

Over on the iTunes Top 100 K-pop Songs chart, the title track grabbed the No. 12 spot.

Additionally, "Make It" peaked at No. 3 on Bugs and No. 6 on Genie shortly after its release.

As of 3 p.m. KST on July 5, 2PM's "Make It" sits at No. 17 on Genie, No. 20 on Bugs, No. 40 on FLO, and No. 68 on MelOn 24Hits.
