G-Dragon will be releasing his solo album before kicking off his "G-Dragon 2017 Concert: Act III, M.O.T.T.E," world tour this June 10. This was confirmed by YG Entertainment through a statement.
According to Soompi, G-Dragon will be releasing his solo album "Act III: MOTTE" before he embarks on his 19 city world tour. It was originally planned for the BIG BANG leader to have a major concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on the album but due to strong demand, the concert expanded to a world tour in no time. For the Seoul leg of the concert on June 10, G-Dragon sold out all 65,000 tickets for the venue in just eight minutes.
The "Act III: MOTTE" World Tour will have 19 stops all over the world and will start off with Seoul. It will also have a stop in Asia including Macau (June 17), Singapore (June 24 and 25), Bangkok (July 7 and 8). G-Dragon will head on to the US, with stops in Seattle (July 11), San Jose (July 14), Los Angeles (July 16), Houston (July 19), Chicago (July 21), Miami (July 25) and New York (July 27). Toronto is next with a July 30 show date before he goes down under to his Sydney (August 5), Brisbane (August 8), Melbourne (August 12) and Auckland (August 16) shows. He will cap off the tour with a tour of Japan with Fukuoka (August 19), Osaka (August 22 and 23) and Tokyo (September 19-20) performances, according to Billboard. Most of the shows have reportedly been sold out since its announcement.
The YG source said that G-Dragon is currently filming for the MVs for the album. He added that it was the BIG BANG leader who wanted to release the MVs before his Seoul concert and so far, the schedule is going as planned. BIG BANG's remaining members G-Dragon, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri are currently busy with their solo projects as BIG BANG takes a temporary hiatus as a five-man K-pop group due to T.O.P's mandatory enlistment in the military.
