After BIG BANG's Daesung successfully concluded his D-LITE Japan Dome Tour this month and ruled the Japanese charts with his solo mini album "D-Day", its Taeyang's turn to take the Japanese stage this July. The BIG BANG member recently confirmed the schedule of "SOL Japan Stadium Tour 2017."
According to his Instagram post, Taeyang will be holding a series of solo concerts on July 8 and 9, and again on August 5 and 6. Taeyang did not announce whether his solo album will be a Japanese album like Daesung's solo album.
Based on his announcement, Taeyang's "SOL Japan Stadium Tour" will happen in two venues. The first two nights will be held at the ZOZO Marine Stadium while the August 5 and 6 dates will be at the Hotto More Field in Kobe. Both locations are considered major venues for sports and entertainment events as ZOZO Marine Stadium has a capacity of 30,000 while Hotto More Field can seat 35,000 audience members at a time.
It can be recalled that Daesung, popularly known in Japan as D-LITE recently concluded his series of solo concerts at the Seibu Prince Dome on April 15 and 16 and at the Kyocera Dome on April 22 and 23. Taeyang was spotted in one of Daesung's performances by some fans waving a banner to support his fellow BIG BANG member. Daesung also scored his second No. 1 album on Japan's Oricon, a feat only achieved by the late Michael Jackson.
BIG BANG leader G-Dragon also showed his support both to Daesung and Taeyang's solo endeavors as he promoted their projects on his personal Instagram followed by over 13 million fans. Seungri is also reportedly working on his solo album. G-Dragon is also set to hold his third solo concert entitled Act III:MOTTE on June 10 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium which sold out 8 minutes after sales opened, reported Kpopstarz. BIG BANG members are currently working on their solo materials after T.O.P. enlisted for the military for mandatory service. G-Dragon and Taeyang are also expected to receive their enlistment dates this year as well.
