K-pop sensation PSY has finally created an Instagram account. The account with the handle @42psy42 is now being followed by 30,600 Instagram users in just a few days since it was created.
According to SBS Pop Asia, there has been no verification of whether the account was created by PSY himself or is managed by his handlers, but based on the posts, it seems in line with the "Gangnam Style" hitmaker's trademark and activities. The initial post showed some cartoon figures of PSY and the caption bore the hashtags #ThisIsPSY and #StartInstagram.
WINNER's Seungyoon also gave a shoutout to the account also posted a snap of PSY's Instagram profile as soon as its up and included the hashtag #DoYouKnowGangnamStyle. Among the early posts of account include clips from his music videos, snaps from his sold out concerts and even some hangout sessions with G-Dragon, BobBI, and Rain.
The creation of an Instagram comes at heels of PSY's announcement that he will release his comeback album this May. PSY's new material is highly anticipated by fans because his last album Psy-Da came out a year and a half ago.
According to a report by Kpopstarz, PSY has also been reportedly been busy filming music videos for his comeback album. The "Gangnam Style" singer is expected to release two music videos along with the release of the album and it will feature no less than GI Joe Star Lee Byung Hun. The second video will feature Son Naeun of Apink.
Lee Byung Hun and PSY have been friends for a long time and are known to be supportive of each other's projects. PSY attended the red carpet premiere of "Red 2" to support his friend's Hollywood career while Lee Byung Hun was also present in one of his concerts to show his support.
